Brighton High School's brand new, state of the art weight training facility is almost ready for use! The brand new state of the art facility, which will service all BHS Sports Teams, is set to open for use on April 5th. The Brighton Wrestling program will be one of the first teams to hit the new facility.
"I cannot express the excitement for our staff and team with the new facility," said Coach Tony Greathouse. "There is no excuse for us to not be one of the strongest teams in the state from here on out. We not only have a state of the art facility with the best equipment imaginable, but we also have a world-class Strength and Conditioning staff that will train our guys year-round."
The facility will be ran by new BHS Athletics Head Strength Coach Jake Henderson of Barwis Methods, one of the leaders in athletic strength and conditioning in the world. Henderson, along with the BHS Wrestling Staff, and his staff of assistants and interns, will push the wrestlers through workouts both in-season and out-of-season.
"This speaks volumes to the amount of dedication that our administration has to help us achieve our program goals of competing for Regional and State titles every year. As we look to continue elevating the status of our wrestling program as one of the elite in the state, this is just another amazing resource for our wrestlers to take advantage of. We have a Big Ten level strength facliity and program now in place." said Greathouse
